To achieve all this, the hydraulic brake lever relies on technologies that have already proven themselves in the SRAM Guide models. Pistons, seals, reservoirs and bladders are inspired by MTB disc brakes and provide first-class modulation as well as a smooth pressure point for long-lasting confidence on every kilometer.

The synchronizing port of a hydraulic brake is the connection between the reservoir and the master cylinder bore. When the lever is pulled, a cup sleeve passes through this area and closes the opening, pressurizing the system. SRAM’s TPC Plus system for closing the synchronizing port features durable seals and an ultra-soft cylinder bore surface for reliable and consistent braking performance.

The special brake lever design features an optimized bladder shape that helps regulate and reduce air bubbles. Air is pumped out of the lever and brake fluid goes exactly where it is needed. The result is improved back pressure relief for reliable and consistent braking performance.
