The launch of Shimano STEPS brings a new level of integrated design, seamless operation and effortless performance to e-bikes. STEPS is a system built around a frame-mounted drive unit. By integrating the drive unit around the bottom bracket area, the weight is positioned low in the frame for easier handling. The essential electronics are incorporated in the drive unit, making for a reliable and weatherproof system. The Shimano STEPS system is light weight, has a large capacity lithium-ion battery pack and an intelligent power management system. It will bring you further than ever before.

The compact display is the command center of the bike. It offers clear display with high contrast, and the ability to switch the backlight on or off. The display shows not only the most common bike computer values such as current speed, average speed, maximum speed and distance. It also shows important values about the status of the bike. The capacity of the battery is displayed as well as the remaining range, depending on the levels of support. For wheels with the Di2 the selected gear is displayed.
